This is a gentle treatment designed specifically for children under the age of 16. As kids are more sensitive, they are equally responsive to the treatment; less is more. Typically, only a few needles are needed and not retained for a long duration, if at all. Other modalities such as acupressure, cupping, auricular acupressure seeds, and Gua Sha may be used for kids who are weary of needles and can be introduced later, once trust has been established. Acupuncture has been found to aid development, boost immunity, calm hyper-active children, improve asthma and allergies, as well as help with anxiety and sleep issues.
